How to Use UAD GUI

Universal Android Debloater is a shell-based portable Android bloatware remover tool. It is very user-friendly but requires a few things to be done on your Android device and computer.

  1. Go to the Settings of your Android smartphone or tablet and enable USB debugging via Developer options.
  2. Make sure you have installed the latest USB drivers for your Android device.
  3. Install the latest Android SDK Platform-tools on your computer.
    1. Windows: Download the latest Android platform-tools for Windows that contain ADB and Fastboot drivers. You also need to add the ‘platform-tools’ folder to your PATH.
    2. macOS: If you are a Mac user, you’ll need to install Homebrew and set up ADB and Fastboot.
    3. Linux: You can use the commands given on this page to install Android SDK Platform-tools on different Linux distributions.
  4. Go to Settings > Accounts on your Android device and log out of your OEM accounts (if any).
  5. Once you are done with the preps described above, double-click on the uad_gui-windows.exe to launch Universal Android Debloater GUI.
  6. Now, connect your phone and Allow USB debugging on your phone when prompted.
  7. When Universal Android Debloater detects your device, you’ll see its model number at the top-left corner of the window.
  8. Wait until the program scans for the apps installed on your Android device.
  9. You can now use different parameters to see the debloat list (see below). We suggest that you uninstall only the apps listed under the Recommended head to be on the safe side and avoid bootloop.universal android debloater options
